Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic looking for a new opportunity? Are you motivated, forward thinking and a good team player? If so, we would like to hear from you!

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking an HGV Mechanic / Technician within Fleet Management. You must have knowledge, skills and experience in the repair & maintenance of heavy goods and light vehicles as you will be responsible for ensuring that the Councils fleet of vehicles is maintained to both DVSAs and Perth & Kinross Council standards.

You must be a time served Motor Vehicle Mechanic or Technician, and preferably have experience of the repair & maintenance of commercial vehicles, heavy plant and equipment and a working knowledge of hydraulic repairs. Holding an LGV C+E licence would be advantageous. You may be required to carry out MOT & Taxi Testing duties if holding the qualification or be willing to achieve these skills through training. You will have the ability to work within a pressured environment and being able to meet own and team deadlines is vital.

The workshop operates a shift system consisting of an early shift, back shift and weekend working on a rotational basis, therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to participate in these working patterns.
