 Assist the Integrated Transport team to ensure that high quality services and best value are delivered to service users by ensuring that all agreed plans are implemented efficiently and effectively and all necessary information is communicated. In particular:

Organise the Council’s team of drivers and pupil escorts in such a way as to provide an efficient, effective service for all pupils requiring transport outwith public transport options, allocating appropriate resources and people to each route to fulfil agreed plans. Monitor, review, and manage services to ensure delivery continues to meet demand and provide quality and best value on an ongoing basis, finding solutions to one-off / unplanned transport requirements for pupils, proposing / discussing options with Line Manager Communicate all arrangements to all interested parties and ensure these are updated as / when required. Liaise with parents, head teachers and educational psychologists as required on an ongoing basis to ensure services provided are effective, to amend if required and to ensure the specific needs of any ASN pupils are met and monitored on an ongoing basis. Manage pupil information for all pupils including names, addresses, age, school attended and any additional information required to meet transport requirements. Deal with all queries and complaints from drivers / pupil escorts in relation to effectiveness of arrangements, and in relation to issues with children’s behaviour. Ensure these are addressed and resolved as quickly as possible. Implement procedures / processes relating to the provision of school transport. Assist in carrying out disciplinary matters to an appropriate level relating to pupils on school transport in conjunction with Public Transport section and schools, issuing warning/suspension letters to parents. Request vehicle valeting when required. Issue Section 19 permits to minibus users, checking information supplied by requestor meets criteria . Applicants should note that :-
