Relief Mobile Community Responder

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£10.10 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate

The Responder Service provides a speedy response following falls or other emergencies in the home, ensuring that individuals can remain safely and independently in their own homes and enjoy quality of life.

The work will be both challenging and varied, and under guidance from the Responder Co-ordinator you will enable individuals to achieve as much independence as possible, through the provision of assistive technology, and the ongoing 24 hour emergency support of the team.

This post would ideally suit someone who has recent work experience in the social care field or similar. You will need the sort of personality that enjoys interacting with people and making a difference to their lives. If you are motivated, caring, honest, can remain calm in a crisis and have a sense of fun, then this could be the job for you and we are waiting to hear from you.

You should hold an SVQ 2 Social Services and Health Care (SCQF 6) or other relevant qualification to allow registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care at Home Service or achieve this within 5 years of appointment.

You are required to register with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care at Home Service within 6 months of taking up post.

A full current driving licence is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
