An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Jointing Assessor to join the Business Assurance department within Networks. Business Assurance are responsible for Operational training assurance and pipelines succession planning and take ownership of the training databases and programme ownership. Demonstrating compliance through robust KPIs and business performance indicators creating one version of the truth for Networks.
You will be responsible for preparing, delivering and developing safe training programmes to ensure that identified learning needs of SSE's Cable Jointing operations are met. Providing support and technical knowledge to staff in order to ensure their safe operational working, you should have a thorough understanding of SSE Operational Safety Rules in order to deliver lesson plans for Competent Persons and Low Voltage Authorisations. You will ensure that the content of training packages are updated in line with Company developments, policy changes and operational requirements. This role will require daily travel across the Southern Electric Power Distribution area, as such a full driving license is essential for this role.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role you must demonstrate a safe, high standard of craftsmanship in cable jointing techniques (LV, HV). You should hold current NRSWA and MACOPA accreditation and have well developed team working skills. You will demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and have the ability to liaise effectively at all levels with internal and external customers and training providers.
