Mobile Community Responder

30 hours per week, Shift working over 7 days including night duty
Temporary up to 30 September 2019 in the first instance
£23,476 to £24,741 pro rata (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)

The Responder Service provides a speedy response following falls or other emergencies in the home, ensuring that individuals can remain safely and independently in their own homes and enjoy quality of life.

The work will be both challenging and varied, and under guidance from the Responder Co-ordinator you will enable individuals to achieve as much independence as possible, through the provision of assistive technology, and the ongoing 24-hour emergency support of the team.

This post would ideally suit someone who has recent work experience in the social care field or similar. You will need the sort of personality that enjoys interacting with people and making a difference to their lives. If you are motivated, caring, honest, can remain calm in a crisis, then this could be the job for you and we are waiting to hear from you.

You should hold an SVQ2 Social Services and Health Care (SCQF6) or other relevant qualification to allow registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care at Home Service or a requirement to achieve this within 5 years of taking up post.

You are required to register with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care at Home Service within 6 months of taking up post.

You should hold a full, current driving licence that enables you to drive legally in the UK.
