We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated person to teach Skills for Work Hairdressing National 4 or 5, to S4 Oban High School pupils. Most classes are delivered in the salon in the school.

Hours of work will be a total of 4 and a half hours per week, which will be split up over several days into single and double school periods.  If you are unable to commit to all of the teaching hours this post can be shared, and can be discussed at interview.

You must be qualified to at least SVQ level 3 or HNC Hairdressing or equivalent, and ideally have at least 2 years’ post-qualification salon experience.  You must also possess the confidence and positive communication skills to put across your knowledge to the students, and be comfortable with day to day administration and paperwork.  If you do not already hold an appropriate teaching qualification, you will be expected to undertake one in your first year with the college.  This is an excellent opportunity for career development for an experienced hairdressing practitioner.

This post is initially for a fixed term until May 2020, and starting In May 2019 or as soon as PVG clearance is obtained.
