ON TRAIN HOSPITALITY ASSISTANT
FULL TIME POSITIONS - 36 HOURS PER WEEK
LOCATION - GLASGOW QUEEN STREET
Pushing a well-stocked trolley from carriage to carriage, you'll be offering a selection of food and drinks to all kinds of different people. Handling cash takings responsibly, and being individually accountable for your stocks and sales, makes this a great opportunity to deliver customer service in a way that benefits everyone. Tidying litter, wiping up spillages and having the highest regard for food hygiene, health and safety are all part of the customer service in which you take pride.
Standard working hours are 36 per week. This role will involve assisting passengers with disabilities to board and alight trains and could involve the use of a portable ramp which weighs up to 15kg, the portable ramp may be required to be carried the full length of a train.
You need to be confident and outgoing; the type who puts quality service and satisfied customers first. Experience is not as important as the right attitude, and our Training Academy will teach you everything you need to know. You must be 18 or over to apply.
Reference Salary is £19,611 per annum. Training initially involves a 5 day Induction training programme including first aid and fire safety. Shift and weekend working involved, earliest start 05:00am latest finish 23:33pm.
Selection process: Selected candidates will be invited to carry out on-line assessments. If successful at that stage they will be attend a face to face interview. The final stage for successful candidates will be a medical questionnaire. Appointees must submit at least 2 satisfactory references, Disclosure Scotland and complete a six month probation period.
