Route Businesses E&W plans, operates and maintains the railway day-to-day. Our business units ' 'routes' ' work closely with our customers, and are accountable for improving customer service, safety, and performance, as well as providing a value for money railway.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join LNW Works Delivery as it embarks upon the next stage of expansion.
LNW Works Delivery carries out work LNW route wide from Euston in the south, through the major cities of Birmingham and Manchester to just over the Scottish border - the backbone of Britain. The LNW Works Delivery team plans, designs and delivers project covering as Track, Signalling, Civil Engineering, Buildings, Drainage & Off-Track, Electrification and Plant within the route.
The team delivers an ever increasing work bank, currently over '170m per annum, which will increase to over '200m per annum in the next Control Period. We achieve this through a mix of both direct delivery and contracted works.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
' Relevant successful experience in project management
' Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
' Detailed knowledge of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2007.
' General knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations
' Team leader capable of motivating the team
' Commercial and financial understanding and knowledge
' Accident Investigation experience
' Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
' Six Sigma Yellow Belt
' A degree or equivalent
' Knowledge of investment processes and procedures
' Knowledge and understanding of project and contract management

We adhere to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: '50,400 - '56,700. This particular role covers LNW North hence the successful candidate can be based in Carlisle, Preston, Liverpool or Manchester however travel throughout the North will be required.
