Network Rail runs, maintains and develops Britain's rail infrastructure (tracks, signalling, bridges, tunnels, level crossings and many key stations), with our rail network being the fastest growing and safest in Europe.
A wide range of numerical analysis is undertaken, as evidence to inform significant business decisions and strategic planning. Analysis which defines our understanding of economics, engineering, operations, asset management, safety, performance and finance in the railway. It is of vital importance that our analysis and assurance processes are fit for purpose, transparent, and robust to challenge. Network Rail is establishing an analytical assurance framework and are looking for a new member to join its Analytical Assurance team.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with an awareness of the risks and challenges faced by analysts and the decisions makers who rely on complex analysis. Someone who is naturally curious and keen to learn. Someone who can clearly communicate practical expert advice appropriate to the risks being addressed. Someone who can influence and offer constructive challenge to experienced analysts.
About the role
Working with teams who are contracting or undertaking analysis themselves, in this role you will become a subject expert in analytical assurance. And the work you will support is vital to understanding how well the analytical assurance policy is being discharged, to provide assurance to the Network Rail Board.
You will have the opportunity to influence the development of process and to help establish a strong culture of quality around our analysis. You will gain invaluable experience working with a wide range of analytical teams, stakeholders and decision makers. And will provide you with a great opportunity for development.

Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: '32,256 - '36,288
