Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain'srailway. From Crossrail ' Europe's largest civil engineering project' toinvestment in passenger stations and major programmes of electrification, weare involved in some of the most ambitious and diverse ventures that thiscountry has ever seen.

The London North Eastern and East Midlands Route(LNE&EM) runs from the Scottish Borders to London Kings Cross / St Pancras,connecting major towns and cities in the North, North East and Midlands.

Our route covers key lines for commuter, cross-country andlong-distance travel both north-south and east-west for both passenger andfreight services.

Passenger numbers are growing rapidly across the route andare expected to increase by 30 per cent by 2023. Ongoing work in the route toboost network capacity includes junction improvements, additional track, andtrain lengthening schemes, all as part of the national Railway Upgrade Plan.

Human Resources (HR) provides support on all people-related issues for Network Rail. We're responsible for creating an environment that attracts and engages high-performing individuals to deliver engineering and operational excellence for Britain's railway and as an HR Administrator your role will be to support this busy function. Our approach is a pragmatic one, challenging where appropriate and professional in all areas of delivery.

Key Accountabilities

As Human Resources Administrator you will provide dedicated and professional administrative support to the HR team, line managers and employees across the LNE&EM route. Your work will contribute to the successful delivery of the route people plan and wider HR strategy.

' Supporting administration relating to; talent management, succession and workforce planning, management capability and diversity and inclusion, you will maintain appropriate data and track project progress to support business decisions.

' Providing administrative support for organisational change, you will coordinate local and area council meetings with the trade unions as well as taking notes and tracking actions.

' Building close relationships with our shared service centre, you will resolve queries relating to pay, terms and conditions and data changes.

' Working with the resourcing team you will support with the recruitment process including advertising and collation of interview and assessment documents.

' Supporting with ad hoc administrative requests relating to operational and strategic HR activity.

Do you have?

' A consistent customer service approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.

' A high level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills.

' Experience of event coordination with an ability to work to tight deadlines.

' Experience of providing professional HR Administration support within a complex and fast paced environment.

' Certificate in Personnel Practice
