Permanent, 17.5 Hours per week (sessional)

Start Date: August 2019

Salary: Grade 4 Points 18 – 22

£26,730 - £29,612 per annum?pro rata (subject to pending job evaluation)

This includes?£2,500 (pro-rata) Market Allowance (which is in place until July 2020 at which point it will be reviewed).

West Lothian College is pleased to announce that there is a vacancy for a permanent SVQ Assessor in the Health and Social Care Team to support the delivery of both HNC and NC full time courses. You will be based in college to facilitate the students understanding of SVQs prior to commencement of their placements and will also carry out visits and observations within their individual placements.

You will be educated to degree level (SCQF Level 9) or equivalent in the Health and Social Care sector and be assessor qualified or prepared to complete an assessor award within 6 months of starting. You will have a good understanding and previous experience within this sector with good organisational skills to prioritise effectively and the ability to communicate at all levels in order to help others achieve. You will have qualifications and experience which meet SSSC registration requirements.

Candidates will be required to do a short presentation, and this will be followed by competency-based interview questions from the Panel.
