Job Description Based in MacKinnon Centre, you will work part time, 35 or 20 hours per week. Please indicate which post you are interested in applying for on the application form. Requirements You will have a 3 National 4s or equivalent and SVQ level 2 in Care, or the ability to obtain this. Responsibilities You will be expected to actively participate as part of a team supporting service users to achieve their personal outcomes. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to use your initiative and work confidently in order to ensure service users are fully supported. Duties will also involve the provision of personal care, encouraging independence and administering medication and supporting choice and dignity at all times. This range of duties is aimed at creating a supportive and relaxed atmosphere where residents can achieve maximum independence. The Individual You will have experience in the caring field and moving and handling experience. You will have good communications skills, both written and verbal and have flexibility. You will be able to work shifts and at weekends and be available to work at short notice and away from home at night. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council. You will be registered with Scottish Social Services Council or have the ability to be registered within a specified timescale.
