The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient, effective, comprehensive secretarial and administrative service for both the Head of Mental Health and Learning Disability and the Business Manager. The post holder will occasionally support other Senior Management team members within the Mental Health & Learning Disability Service, as and when required.    

This post requires a highly experienced administrator. Preferably gained in a similar environment.  

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate as part of their application and at interview stage: 
- A sound knowledge of the role as detailed in the job description. 
- The ability to work accurately under pressures
- Undertake large volumes of audio typing.  
- An understanding of Mental Health and Learning Disability Services in general.  
- A strong team-working ethic.  
- Excellent communication skills with good telephone manner.  

Candidates should be qualified to HNC level or have equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 O Grades or equivalent including English. Excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills, experience of minute taking, keyboard skills, and a confident approach to handling competing priorities are essential for this post. High level of confidentiality is required for this role as the post holder will have access to a lot of sensitive information. The successful candidate will also work closely in a team with other management secretary/PAs providing cover for urgent work during periods of leave/absence.
