Are you pragmatic and highly motivated to achieve your goals? Do you want to be involved in one of the key projects within North Lanarkshire Council?

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for you to join North Lanarkshire Council to support the delivery of our large-scale Ambition Plan for housing development, regeneration and inclusive growth.

Based at Fleming House, Cumbernauld, you will be part of a team who are responsible for the provision of a co-ordinated property service in relation to the implementation of property disposals and acquisitions.

An excellent communicator, you must have an honours degree level qualification, or equivalent, in a property related subject. Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is advantageous. You should have considerable to substantial experience in valuation of property, marketing and negotiation for the sale and acquisition of land and property.

Experience in negotiation for property acquisition and sales, development and management of property marketing initiatives and of working for public sector clients would be advantageous.

You will be self-motivated and confident with have excellent IT and interpersonal skills and be able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team in line with performance standards and deadlines. Familiarity with property management systems would be helpful.

You will be computer literate and possess substantial experience working in a valuation role.

The ability to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire Council is essential.
