Assessor (SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People)) – Early Learning and Childcare
Due to expansion of Early Learning and Childcare provision we have a vacancy for a suitably qualified SVQ Assessor with a background in Early Learning and Childcare and/or Playwork. Ideally, you should possess a relevant Assessor Qualification and a professional qualification in Early Learning and Childcare and/or Playwork at a minimum of SVQ Level 4 (SCQF level 9) and, preferably, also be qualified to PDA or BA Childhood Practice SCQF level 9.
You will be a confident, flexible, quality driven individual who has a sound technical, professional and operational experience in the subject of Early Learning and Childcare as well as good planning and organisational skills. You will have a professional approach to dealing with external organisations as well as the ability to coach and build a rapport with vocational candidates, motivating them to participate successfully in vocational education and training
Ideally you will work in or be an experienced and suitably qualified Childhood Practice Professional and possess a relevant assessor award or equivalent . You must have knowledge and understanding of vocational qualifications frameworks and assessment procedures and be prepared to travel. Initial guidance and support will also be given on commencement of employment. Reporting to the Curriculum Manager for Early Learning and Childcare, you will be responsible for carrying out workplace assessments of HNC Childhood Practice students across the Forth Valley area.
