An opportunity has arisen to join the Mowi Scotland IT department. This is a demanding position and would suit experienced candidates. The role covers both support and development functions.

 

Successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, an ability to work with staff at all levels and demonstrate a methodical approach to workload. They must be self-driven with an ability to prioritise and manage own workload and a willingness to work within an ITIL framework, logging support issues and following change management process.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with staff involved in processing functions, providing operational support alongside continual improvements projects. There is a degree of flexibility required as covering out of hours and weekend support is required. This entails covering a minimum of one weekend a month in rotation with other members of the IT department.

 

Role and responsibilities
Support and maintain all systems involved in processing
Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of business systems
Recommend improvements to cover security, stability and availability of systems
When appropriate assist other department roles, as instructed by IT Manager.

 
Required Experience
MS SQL - Database administration and queries
MS SQL Reporting – Create and maintain reports
MES – Support and administration of MES processing systems
Integrations – Understanding and experience with system integrations
ERP – Familiarity with central enterprise system
Broad knowledge of computer systems and network infrastructure

 

Desirable Experience
Familiarity with various versions of MS SQL and Reporting services
Marel Innova
Infor M3
QlikView
API calls
SharePoint
PLC data collection and visualisation
