An opportunity has arisen to join the Mowi Scotland IT department. This is an apprentice position and would suit an enthusiastic driven candidate. The post will be temporary for two years and reviewed after this period. During the two years the successful candidate will be required to undertake a SCQF Level 6/8 IT & Telecommunication apprenticeship, alongside on the job training.


The successful candidate must have good communication skills, and an ability to work with staff at all levels. Workload will be predominately first line based but may have opportunities for further development. A willingness to learn and work within a structured framework, logging support issues and following change management process is essential.


A degree of flexibility is required, as covering out of hours and weekend support is necessary. This entails covering a minimum of one weekend a month in rotation with other members of the IT department.


Role and responsibilities
Laptop & Desktop setup and support (Windows 10)
Mobile phone setup and support (iOS & Android)
Printer and PC related hardware support
Logging all issues and requests via ITIL based helpdesk software

Scottish National Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Knowledge of Windows 10
Hardware familiarity (Desktop, Laptop, Printers, etc)


Network infrastructure knowledge & understanding
