The Biology Department are looking for an intern for 3 months (negotiable) to help cover routine site visits, sampling & monitoring feedback observations to enable decision making, attend treatments and much more.

The intern position would involve work on both Freshwater and Marine farms, including some work with broodstock and third party fish suppliers. We also do a lot of work with cleanerfish (wrasse and lumpfish).

Our main goal is the management of health and welfare of our fish. We do this by visiting and analysing data, taking samples (bloods, swabs of gills, tissue samples) and providing advice to farm staff.

The role is very practical, with site visits being the priority. With sites all up and down the west coast, travel would be involved however the base location could be negotiated.
