To halt and reverse the decline in biodiversity we need a response that is commensurate with the threat. We need to bring people with us and we need to build a movement so irresistible, so diverse and so unstoppable that it can't be ignored. The Head of Movement Buidling will be responsible for helping to build a public movement for nature. We need nature to be as popular as sport and as politically relevent as health. We need millions of people taking action and behaving differently for nature in order to influence the decisions and actions of politicians and businessess.
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Head of Movement Building will be accountable for our Campaigning, Community Empowerment, and Education, Families & Youth functions. This role will drive forward a new approach to growing our impact by catalysing action and collaborating with other people and groups in the wider movement for nature. This role has an organisation-wide remit to foster network building, convening of others and facilitative leadership within and outside of the sector.
As a change leader and maker, you will have the leadership and influencing skills to drive transformational change across the RSPB and beyond. With demonstratable skills in campaigning and community empowerment through movement buidling aproaches, you will have the drive and energy to help buiild a diverse, people powered movement for nature.
This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. You will be asked to declare unspent convictions and cautions at offer of employment stage.
Salary starting at
£48,848 to £52,919 per annum
