Senior Planning Officer (Conservation)
Salary: £36,499 - £43,619
Hours: 36 per week
The Council is recruiting for a permanent senior planning officer post within the Planning Service in Edinburgh. The successful candidate is likely to be placed in the development management part of the service, within an area team dealing with large and complex planning applications many of them involving listed buildings.
The successful candidate should demonstrate an expertise in architectural conservation, ideally within a development management environment.
The candidate must have an RTPI accredited planning qualification and a suitable architectural conservation qualification. The post requires full membership of the RTPI and be able to demonstrate they have a broad range of experience in dealing with all application types.
We are looking for enthusiastic individual with exemplary project management skills, who can work flexibly and deliver outstanding results within tight timescales. Your communication and customer care skills must be of the highest standard.
A driving licence is desirable.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
