Sue Ryder Dee View are looking to appoint an Occupational Therapist to lead, motivate and manage the Therapy team to ensure the highest levels are care are given in this truly stunning venue. This is such an exciting time to join Dee View. Not only are we Scotlands only purpose built Neurological Centre but our recent expansion has increased us to 44 beds enabling us to deliver twice as much vital Neurological care. As the Therapy Lead – Occupational Therapist you will have: • Diploma / BSC (Hons) in Allied Health Professional Qualification • Registered with Health and Care Professionals Council • Relevant post registration training in appropriate speciality • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development • Current registration with Professional Body • Member of a Professional Specialist Interest Group • To hold an EDGE trainer qualification Your background and skills will include: • Experience of working in a relevant setting • Use of evidence based practice and outcome measures • Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning • An ability to work autonomously and to set own and others' priorities • An ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to therapist/therapy service performance • An ability to organise, co-ordinate and respond efficiently to complex information • IT literate • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice • Excellent advanced communication skills • Ability to build effective working relationships • Motivational skills and goal setting for patient centred care • Leadership and visionary skills to motivate and enthuse therapy team • Effective line management skills Our expert care team includes nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare assistants.
