Salary: £19399 - £21224 per annum pro rata (£10.63 - £11.63 per hour)
Part-time temporary post until June 2020
28 hours per week, term time (38 weeks)
Mon, Tues & Thurs 08.30-15.35, Wed 08.30-16.05 and Fri 08.30-11.55 (less breaks)

This post is specifically to support the work of the Guidance Department within Ross high School for the benefit of the young people of the school.

It involves working directly with young people to assist in the resolution of any issues or queries brought to the Guidance staff by young people, and communicating with parents as directed by PT's Guidance and PTC Health and Wellbeing.

Job Details

To provide care and assistance to individuals and small groups of pupils with additional support needs.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education
Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs

Nursery Only: SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
