The Complaints, FOI and Investigations Team (CFIT) within GCHSCP Business Development handle complaints administration and responses, NHS claims investigations, FOI responses and duties under the Data Protection Act 2018, including providing guidance to the wider business in relation to Data Protection matters. The Senior Officer (Complaints) role has a wide remit including investigating and preparing responses to complaints; subject access requests and Data Protection enquiries; and FOI requests. Candidates should have relevant knowledge and experience of dealing with complaints and related information requests. Candidates are required to be organised, meticulous and have excellent communications skills both written and verbal. Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and be able to identify issues and provide resolutions to often contentious or sensitive information requests in a professional and empathetic manner. The post holder will be expected to maintain high standards of service and confidentiality and have the ability to work to tight timescales while managing competing demands. This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful applicant may choose to be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either Glasgow City Council or NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
