Learning Resource Assistant (Permanent) - PKC05852
£16,433 - £17,917 (36 hours per week, Term-time only)
As the successful post-holder, you will support the Learning Resource Co-ordinator or the Senior Learning Resource Centre in the management of the Learning Resource Centre and the delivery of its related services.

? You must be educated to standard / higher grade level or equivalent.
? Ideally you will have a higher grade in English (or equivalent).
? Ideally you will have additional qualifications in ICT and library-related work.
? You must have experience in working with people and using ICT skills.
? Ideally you will have experience in working in a library related environment and with young people.
? You must have good organisational skills and the ability to work without close supervision to a set of agreed procedures.
? You must have the ability to monitor the study habits of young people and be able to motivate individuals.
? Ideally you will be creative and possess the ability to display learning materials.
? Ideally you will be interested in books and reading.
You must be able to demonstrate that you can both work individually and as a member of a team.
You must be able to cope with the demands of the job and attend on a regular basis.
You must be able to treat pupils, colleagues, parents and the community in accordance with the Council’s policies on equalities and dignity at work.
You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
You must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and pupils.
Ideally you will be willing to be involved in school community life and whole school events / projects.
You must show a readiness to participate in self evaluation and Employee Review and Development (ERD) processes.
You must demonstrate effective participation in a team situation.
