About the role:
As Delivery Line Manager, you will assist the Delivery Office Manager and manage operations within a specific area of the Delivery Office. Monitoring performance across shifts, excelling in all operational targets, championing Health and Safety and identifying areas of improvement will be essential to your role. You will lead dedicated front line delivery teams and provide an excellent customer service, increasing efficiency, establishing positive relationships with union representatives and engaging with various stakeholders.
You’ll have strong operational leadership experience, with a track record of leading and supporting teams through change. With exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you’ll appropriately communicate difficult messages while improving employee engagement. As an inspirational leader, you’ll have the ability to coach and role model leadership behaviours.
Experience in KPI and performance management is essential to this role. Utilising your strong financial acumen, you’ll have the ability to ensure your team meets and exceeds quality targets within the confines of an assigned budget. In addition, you’ll be commercially driven, with a strong focus on customer orientation. A proven track record working within a unionised environment will provide a distinct advantage; as will experience gained within logistics, distribution, fleet management or retail.
As a Royal Mail Manager you will be invited to attend our comprehensive, work and classroom based induction programme. This may require a short period of time staying away from home in the initial weeks of your time in role.
