Post Title: Social Worker (Fostering and Adoption)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term (2 years)
Salary: £35,362 - £38,656 p.a.

Job Purpose:Ensuring that National Standards in Fostering & Adoption are met. Recruiting, assessing, supporting and training Foster Carers for the Intensive fostering scheme for the Arach centre in Fodderty and for the off-shoot project in Caithness.
This post was agreed as part of the Placement Services Change Programme. This post will support the programme by recruiting and assessing foster carers for the Intensive Foster Care Scheme across the Highlands.

Social work qualification e.g Dip SW or recognised equivalent
Registration as a Social Worker
Experience in assessing, supporting and working with Foster Carers.
Experience in Children & Families including Child Protection, Looked after Children and Permanency Planning.
Ability to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
