Hourly Rate: £15.86 - £17.29
Salary: £28,960.89 - £31,570.64 pro rata per annum
Contract Duration: Temporary until 30th June 2020


Role Purpose

A very exciting opportunity has arisen within the Domestic Abuse Advocacy Support Service for an Adult Advocate. The post is temporary until 30 June 2020, 9am to 5pm on an Monday and Tuesday for 14 hours per week. We are looking for someone to join our small team that can work in a pressurised environment in a pro active manner, prioritising the workload.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting, risk assessing and safety planning with high risk victims and their children and will operate within a multi agency framework.
Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse is essential.
The DAAS team are currently based in Scottish Borders Council headquarters.


Professional qualification in a related field, such as domestic abuse, social work, education, health, criminal justice or evidence of comparable experience and subsequent relevant training in this specialised field.
