Becoming a QA Engineer /Test Analyst with Barrachd:
QA Automation Engineer
Location - Edinburgh
Exciting opportunity! We are recruiting for number of QA Engineers / Test Analyst (Entry level, Associate) to join a successful expanding team. Work as an integral part of our Agile Scrum team to develop software products. You will be joining an experienced agile scrum team of 11 which has been running Agile Scrum for 24 months, we are now recruiting to double the team size with the option to run as two teams. We have and encourage a positive, cooperative, team first culture. Technologies include C#, Python, SQL server, React framework, Java, Azure, Message queuing, Rest APIs, social media streaming. Exact methodology and technology matches won't matter if you are enthusiastic and willing to learn.
What you will do:
Work as an integral part of our Agile Scrum team to develop software products
Deliver all aspects of QA to ensure that all required standards are achieved
Perform, and report on, manual and automated testing
Help ensure our products delight our customers and function as expected
Develop and enhance automated and manual tests
Work on functional, non-functional, performance, regression and system tests
Work with developers to resolve issues
Follow agile scrum methodology
Your experience will include:
Use of automated testing using tools i.e. Selenium, Cucumber or Protractor desirable
Experience across testing layers - manual, UI, service, unit
Testing APIs with tools such as Postman/Swagger
The ability to act as the point of contact for all QA aspects of a release
Experience and/or qualifications in QA Testing
Apply behaviour-driven development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD) approaches
The ability to multitask and problem solve
Full time permanent post in Edinburgh City Centre with flexible working
