You will be part of the Children and Justice Services Management Team. You will be responsible for the management of a team of Children and Families Social Work staff, to provide a direct Social Work Service and provide professional support and supervision to staff.
This is an opportunity for either an experienced social worker/practitioner or an existing manager who wishes to extend their knowledge and experience within the team. The priorities for the manager will to be to deliver a quality service through supervision and support of the team and by managing the local office budgets. Regular supervision is provided by the Fieldwork Manager and full support will be offered to the post holder by the Children and Justice Services Management Team.
All applicants must be registered with Scottish Social Services Council and hold a Degree in Social Work qualification or equivalent.
Requirements This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.
