West Lothian College is looking to appoint a Technician – Engineering. The Department of Engineering is a vibrant and fast moving environment, committed to providing high levels of learning to industry and individuals. Our programmes offer a wide range of engineering learning from SCQF level 5 up to Higher National Diploma level.
This is a great opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced workshop technician with experience in the maintenance and service of workshop machinery such as milling machines, lathes, drills, hand tools and other related equipment. It is essential that the successful candidate can work unsupervised and that they are able to plan and execute maintenance schedules effectively. Candidates must also be familiar with regulatory and statutory Health and Safety requirements and capable of completing and up-dating risk assessments. Candidates should be qualified to SCQF Level 8 (HND or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline.
