Hours: various available between 4 and 16 per week
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the already thriving team, working in the city centre of the Edinburgh area.
As a cleaner for Edinburgh Council you will be committed in providing a clean and safe environment to a high standard for all children, staff and visitors.
Ultimately, we are looking for individuals who display a positive can-do attitude, are passionate, organised and can successfully work as part of a team and independently.
A strong willingness to learn is also critical.
We are looking for individuals for the following locations:Hope Cottage Nursery - 10 hours per week 16.30 to 18.30, Monday to Friday Maple Centre - 10 hours per week 17.00 to 19.00, Monday to Friday St Mary's Primary School (London Street) 16 hours per week 15.00 18.00, Monday to Friday Unison Office - 4 hours per week Abbyhill Primary School - 10 hours 16.00 to 18.00, Monday to Friday
Previous experience as a cleaner is desirable but is not essential as full training will be provided.
As part of your role you will be expected to open and close buildings as and when required.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
The City of Edinburgh Council applies a Living Wage allowance to ensure that all employees earn at least £9.07 per hour. Successful applicants will be paid the hourly rate as advertised, plus the allowance, in order to bring their earnings to £9.07 per hour.
