Post Title: Research Assistant/Intern
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term (12 months)
Salary: £18,528 - £20,821 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The graduate intern will be expected to cover three specific, outcome focused and time limited projects:Review existing environmental procedures and standard documents on our common drive, simplify where possible, and transfer to new SharePoint site. Where appropriate, suggest improvements to the external website related to the improved procedures. Outcome: procedures reviewed and on Environmental Health SharePoint site. Time: 6 months. Assist Senior EHO in reviewing available data to identify private rented properties and holiday rented properties not currently included in the private water supply monitoring programme. Outcome: further supplies identified to ensure public safety. Time: 3 months. Assist Senior EHO in reviewing Housing Grant historic notice of payments. This is to ensure all are recorded so that, if conditions are not complied with the grant payment can be recovered by the Council. Outcome: confidence in historic records. Time: 3 months.
