Based in Stornoway, you will provide a link between the vulnerable or infirm within our community who may require assurance or emergency assistance through the Faire Community Alarm Service. You will also be required to carry out a variety of communication and administrative duties relating to the provision of an ‘out of hours’ service and other ancillary tasks on behalf of the Comhairle. Shift work is required to cover the 24/7 service with rotas set 6 weeks in advance.Requirements
You must have good communication skills and telephone manner, knowledge of emergency services and professional agencies, and good IT keyboard skills. The ability to communicate in Gaelic is essential.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
