We are focused on providing high quality Outdoor Learning to the school children of Edinburgh City along with a wide mix of other local authorities, youth, charity, corporate and Duke of Edinburgh related organisations. Our course delivery aspires to contribute to each school’s Curriculum for Excellence outcomes through Outdoor Learning. Potential candidates should be well practised and have a high level of competency in delivering residential outdoor learning that delivers C for E outcomes.
The Centre has a staff structure that incorporates a Centre Manager, Two Lead Instructors, Three Permanent Instructors, and a pool of Casual Tertiary Instructional Staff. These vacancy's are new posts to work along side our three Permanent Contract Instructional Staff roles.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
