18 hours per week including evenings and weekends.
G5/6 £24,077 - £26,094 unqualified; £23,836 - £29,405 qualified pro rata (Includes Distant Islands Allowance and Shift Enhancement)
Aurrida House provides a wide range of high-quality support services for children with additional support needs and their families. This includes part week residential support for school placement, residential and day respite, short breaks, a home-based support service, and an emergency provision.
Aurrida House is seeking a caring, diligent person to join our committed team. You will provide social and personal care on a shift rota basis to children and young people with additional support needs. You must be able to evidence a commitment to the care of children and have preferably, experience in the field of additional support needs. We are looking for someone who holds a strong sense of professionalism and who is familiar with the standards of care required by the Care Commission.
Applicants will possess or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification such as the HNC / SVQ III combined award in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) to meet the registration requirements of the SSSC. Registration must take place within 6 months of appointment, but the SSSC generally allow up to three years to gain the required qualifications. You will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
