Working with the world’s leading salmon aquaculture company, the Production Director role has complete budgetary and management oversight responsibility for our Farming Operations. The position will be based in Fort William and will have Seawater Farming, Freshwater Smolt Rearing, and Fish Health, either direct reporting lines or service functions. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Production Director will also be responsible for exemplar health and safety practices and will create a highly motivated and passionate team within Mowi Scotland.
We are seeking an exceptional aquaculture professional with strong leadership and people development skills, as well as technical experience. As a minimum, applicants should be educated in a biological discipline to post-graduate level or have an exceptional career history in aquaculture companies (preferably salmonids). We invite candidates with several years’ farming experience or business leadership experience to apply. The Production Director will share Mowi’s passion for the most sustainable fish culture methods and will understand the concept of social license and our role within West Coast Communities.
