Airdrie Golf Club is seeking a fully qualified Head Green Keeper to maintain and develop this already well established golf course.

Set conveniently between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Airdrie Golf Club is a thriving, well established club with around 500 members. 

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to become an integral part of a club that is really going places. Our greens, laid to USGA specifications, are already amongst the best in the area and we want to build on that strong foundation to implement a structured programme to further improve the entire course.

The right candidate will be joining a warm, welcoming club with a strong commitment to developing the on-course and off-course facilities to ensure that we continue to grow our membership and the game of golf.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Maintaining and improving the golf course in accordance with approved strategic aims.

Leading, managing and motivating the greenkeeping team to deliver scheduled programmes of work.

Ensuring that all equipment is operated and maintained in an appropriate and documented manner.

Working within agreed annual budgets.

Ensuring that all greenkeeping practices are carried out in accordance with current legislation.

Producing a monthly report on progress on agreed programmes

It would be advantageous for applicants to possess the following qualifications and experience: 

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance.

PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates.

Knowledge of all health and safety legislation relating to greenkeeping equipment and chemical and waste handling.
