The company currently operates three vessels (service vessels) in Scotland, with a fourth vessel arriving in 2020 (wellboat). Operations Coordinator UK
Work tasks
·        The operations coordinator UK will handle the day to day operational support of DESS Aqua vessels operating in Scotland – on behalf of the vessel’s technical superintendent

·        Close liaison with Customer Fleet Managers and participation in weekly / bi-weekly customer meetings

·        Support Head Office Supply Chain Manager with local supplier network development and evaluation

·        Support Head Office HSEQ Manager with internal vessel audit coordination.

Qualifications and experience
·        Required:

o   Experience as deck or engine officer on vessels larger than 500GT, alternatively onshore management of similar size vessels

o   Good communication skills

o   IT software / systems proficiency

o   UK driving license

·        Preferable:

o   Experience as deck or engine officer on vessels around 3000GT or larger, alternatively onshore management of similar size vessels

o   Seawater aquaculture production industry experience

o   Knowledge of MCA Workboat Code

o   2 years + experience in similar role

Administrative
·        The position will be based from the DESS Aqua UK office at the European Marine Science Park, Dunbeg, Oban but with regular travel throughout Scotland.

·        The successful applicant will report directly to one of our Technical Superintendents in our Head Office in Grimstad, Norway – and will also work closely with our Commercial Director based in Oban.

·        Salary: Subject to negotiations, based on experience and qualifications

·        Office hours Mon-Fri 0800-1600hrs although as our vessels work 24/7, out of hours support will also be required and a flexible attitude is expected.
