WESTERN ISLES HOSPITAL, MACAULAY ROAD, STORNOWAY,ISLE OF LEWIS, HS1 2AF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH Community Mental Health Worker Band 6 £30,401 - £38,046 plus Distant Island Allowance £1,043 pro rata 30 hours per week Permanent Post Are you an experienced Registered Nurse, Social worker, Occupational therapist, Clinical Associate for Psychology (CAAP) or Community Youth Worker looking for a new role? Do you have a passion for having a positive impact on children's lives? NHS Western Isles CAMHs are looking for a Community Mental Health Worker to build on the capacity of CAMHs and to promote and support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families. The post holder will work as part of a wider multi disciplinary team with core responsibilities for the delivery of mental health training, contributing to professional consultations and working in a liaison role between universal and specialist services. The post holder will be able to develop skills in direct work with young people and families by providing short term interventions when needed. While working as an autonomous practitioner you will be well supported by an experienced team, working collaboratively with colleagues within the Children and Adolescent Mental Health team.
