At a glance

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team on the River Thames in Oxfordshire, supporting the team on the front desk with customer service, sales and administrative duties. We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and flexible individual.

Main Duties

Physically welcome customer for boarding and return procedures
Make sure that all returning clients complete a customer satisfaction questionnaire at the base and that this is collected from them at reception
Manage any customer request physically or over the phone
Take part in the management of the departures planning from Neptune- booking software – training will be delivered internally
Update the customers data base with extra information regarding cruises or customers’ requests
Organize transfers, book taxis, check  train and buses timetables
Inform customer on their itinerary and routes, provide touristic information
Manage questionnaires satisfaction
Participate in the local revenue through selling extras  
Process data in the cash system - training will be delivered internally
Establish good contact with customers and anticipate their needs
Adopt a flexible approach and take part of any project at the operations base
Help with the cleaning and preparation of boats when required to do so

Excellent organizational skills, know how to prioritize tasks and be reactive
Rigorous and punctual
PC literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Able to work with deadlines and objectives
Able to cascade information in relevant time
Able to demonstrate initiative
Good team player
Previous experience in the tourism industry/customer service would be advantageous
Additional languages would be advantageous
