An exciting job opportunity has arisen for Personal Assistants to provide an efficient and effective Management Support service to the Leadership team within Renfrewshire Leisure, a large culture and leisure trust with its headquarters based in Paisley. It is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Leisure as the trust is developing a number of new business opportunities, cultural venues and community initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced Personal Assistants to join Renfrewshire Leisure’s Leadership Management Support team at a level where you will be using strong decision making, organisational and communication skills to work closely with senior leaders who are working to make positive changes to the lives of those living and working within the Renfrewshire area, to enhance local cultural, leisure time and sporting activities.

The business consists of a wide range of operational and unique specialist services which the post holder will be expected to gain detailed knowledge of in order to assist with the preparation of responses to service enquiries from a wide variety of sources, for example, residents, service users and Councillors and MPs/MSPs.

As an experienced Personal Assistant, you will be expected to use your own initiative and judgement, show confidence and discretion and be able to prioritise others’ time and workload in order to manage the extensive demands associated with daily diary commitments. You will be experienced and effective in assessing priorities taking cognisance of any research and preparatory work that may be required in order to facilitate meetings and appointments, liaising with relevant operational service officers where necessary to ensure the Leadership Team is fully prepared for meetings.

As one of our Personal Assistants you will enjoy working on lots of different priorities at the same time and pro-actively support leaders to achieve their goals. You can turn your hand to almost anything, are flexible, as and when the business needs, and are solutions focused with a very resourceful and resilient attitude and nature. Nothing escapes you as your finger is on the pulse to keep your leaders up-to-date with what is going on around the business.

You will be expected to utilise your excellent written and verbal skills, including managing urgent business, diaries, agenda items and information to support effective meetings and decisions. You can do this without fluster or fanfare and enjoy the fact that no two days ever look the same; however, your self-satisfaction at a job well done every day keeps you motivated. You are an excellent networker and can engage with everyone, always leaving a positive lasting impression.

Previous experience as a Personal Assistant is essential, knowledge of local authority/public sector desirable.
