You will provide an effective Social Work Service to children and their families in line with Council policy and national standards.

A Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent) qualification is essential, as is registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.

l have the ability to travel throughout Fife.

The pattern of working will be determined for individual remits and on occasions may include evenings and weekends. There will be a requirement to attend meetings out with normal working hours, when necessary, subject to service user and staff availability.

There will also be a requirement to attend out with normal working hours for development, training, registration compliance etc when necessary

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.


The Individual

You should have considerable experience in a relevant setting.

You will have knowledge and understanding of Child and Adult Protection guidelines and information sharing protocols and experience of joint working to achieve common goals.

Effective writing and verbal skills

Ability to communicate and present information clearly within a variety of settings

Knowledge of professional practice models and standards

Knowledge, skills and experience of utilising a variety of interventions in working with groups and individuals.
