We are looking for a number of permanent Cleaning Operatives to join the team in the North West area, specifically for the following schools. These posts are Monday to Friday and are a mix of sessional (38 or 40 weeks per year) and non-sessional (52 weeks per year) posts:Blackhall Primary School - 2 posts - 10 and 8 hours Carrick Knowe Primary School and Nursery - 1 post 15 hours Corstorphine Primary School and Nursery - 1 post 11 hours Cramond Primary School and Nursery - 1 post 5 hours Davidsons Mains Primary School and Nursery - 1 post 15 hours East Craigs Primary - 1 or 2 posts - 20 hours Flora Stevensons Parimary School - 1 post 10 hours Fort Early Years Community Centre - 2 posts 15 hour Fort Community Centre - 1 post 10 hours Granton Primary School - 4 posts - 12.5 hours each New Granton Nursery - 3 posts 12.5 hours each Gylemuir Praimary School - 1 post 5.5 hours Hillwood Primary School and Nursery - 1 post 12.5 hours Holycross Primary School - 1 post 10 hours Kirkliston Primary School - 2 posts 7.5 hours and 10 hours Queensferry Primary School- 3 posts 2 x 7.5 and 1 x 10 hours Queensferry High School - 3 posts - 15 hours 10 hours and 11 hours Ratho Primary School - 1 post 10 hours Roseburn Primary School - 1 post 7.5 hours Russell Road Depot/Fleet Services - 1 post 12.5 hours St Margarets Primary School - 1 post 10 hours Wardie Primary School and Nursery - 1 post 10 hours New Queensferry High School - 5 posts between 12 and 20 hours
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The City of Edinburgh Council applies a Living Wage allowance to ensure that all employees earn at least £9.07 per hour. Successful applicants will be paid the hourly rate as advertised, plus the allowance, in order to bring their earnings to £9.07 per hour.
