SVQ2 or SVQ3 Youth Work / PDA Youth Work
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland
You will be responsible for planning, organising and evaluating youth work activities such as supporting the SWF Youth Bank, Young Volunteers and other community projects. This will involve you working on youth achievement awards, ensuring that young people’s voices are heard in the planning and evaluation of the youth work project and advising the project supervisor on emerging issues and concerns facing young people in their personal lives and in their community.
You will also be responsible for completing the necessary youth work registration, attendance and quality framework forms.The Individual
It is a requirement of this post that the post holder is able to develop strong, positive and trusting relationships with young people in order to support them to make informed choices in their lives. The post holder should have good organisational and time keeping skills and be willing to undertake training around child protection, health & safety and working with young people.
The post holder should be IT literate and be viewed by young people attending youth work projects, as a positive role model and influence in their lives.
