Job Description

We're embarking on an ambitious transformation program supported by over £3bn in strategic investment to improve customer experiences, digitise the Group, maximise our capabilities and transform our ways of working as we progress on our journey to build the Bank of the Future.

The Business and Commercial Risk Lab within Risk Value Stream has exciting plans for 2020, and we’re looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to help us make our ideas a reality.

You’ll join our diverse, co-located, fun, collaborative team who are passionate about delivering products that improve the experience for LBG colleagues and customers.

So what would you be doing?

You'll help to support the Lab to deliver transformation by using your design thinking approach and visualisation design expertise, contributing to the design and development of new business solutions.

Working collaboratively with teams which are in different stages of the Lloyds product development lifecycle, you'll help bring to life, the work of the Lab in a visual, compelling and engaging way.

You'll also collaborate with teams with different skills, identifying and empathising with the problems that exist within a business system, before building and testing prototypes that are aligned with the Bank’s vision for design.

You'll work alongside a Human Centred Design Business Designer also dedicated to the lab. This role aligned to the One Design approach and method and will offer you the opportunity to work and collaborate with other One Design colleagues supporting the Risk Value Stream.

You'll be responsible for…

Supporting Human-Centered Design activities including user research, analysis, exploration, storytelling, journey-mapping, prototyping, and usability testing

Translating customer/colleague needs, research findings and business requirements into compelling, efficient and usable services

Developing scenarios, sketches and service blueprints that describe end-to-end customer/colleague experience, touch points and back-end service delivery systems

Supporting the facilitation of co-creation activities with internal stakeholders, colleagues and customers as part of the development and design of new services

Providing hands-on support through the end to end journey and help deliver customer & business outcomes

Can bring new knowledge to our team and challenge what we do

Will have Design thinking/Service design experience

Will be able to bring complex topics to life in a simple, compelling and engaging way.

Will be skilled in delivering and facilitating workshops on technical topics with a variety of people from different settings and backgrounds

Will bring great communication skills, plus an ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, proposals, issues and implications in a concise way to colleagues at all levels and to a variety of business stakeholders

Will demonstrate a growth mind-set, which drives learning, inquisitiveness, motivation and achievement, and you'll champion customer-centric thinking

Your experience of using Power Point, Indesign, Photoshop to build engaging and compelling visual artefacts
