Job Description SummaryResponsible for either the requirements analysis, process design, or delivery of a medium product and/or project in order realise customer value through excellence and execution. Includes using business analysis skills to identify the business need, analyse requirements, through to assessing/designing/testing, prioritising and implementing agreed solutions.
Our Workplace Savings business aims to become the Market leader and our acquisition of Zurich Workplace Savings give us the opportunity to bring new products to Scottish Widows to the large scheme market, all underpinned by a modern flexible platform.
The Zurich acquisition is well underway and is targeted for delivery in July 2020. In parallel, our Strategic Investment Platform will help customers secure their financial future and give them confidence to enjoy today, helping them with investing for the first time through to being secure in taking an income during retirement
To help us build our programme Business Analyst capability and define business capabilities and processes across multiple work streams, our team has an opportunity for a hands-on, Principal Business Analyst.
You’ll lead a team of 30 Business Analysts and set the direction of the programme, identifying the business needs, interpreting complex data and managing the efficient and effective production of high quality information, analysing and researching, anticipating partner’s needs.
You’ll also provide coaching & mentoring of your team.
So what are we looking for in you?
•Solid understanding of business analysis and business architecture methodologies and techniques and their practical application
•Experience of leading large teams of Business Analysts, ideally across multiple workstreams.
•Current or recent responsible for significant programme spend, iro £30million - £40million, ideally within a strategic/transformation background.
•Ability to work at scale
•A natural facilitator and decision-maker, you'll enable collaboration across all disciplines within the Lab
•Ability to coach and support colleagues to ‘deliver best in class’ change
•You'll be a skilled negotiator, analytical thinker and problem solver
•You'll be comfortable providing complex analytical and research advice and recommendations and using your own judgement
•Evidence of Engaging and influencing partners, anticipating, clarifying and shaping requirements for the purpose of optimising business results
A Financial Services background and/or experience working in an Agile environment is preferred but not essential.
