Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School School is a non-denominational school serving the communities of Pumpherston and Uphall Station. It is part of the Broxburn Academy School cluster. The school roll is 240 with pupils being organised into seven classes (P1-7) and a 32/32 nursery.

The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher and a Principal Teacher. In addition to seven class teachers, there is a team of pupil support workers, a support for learning teacher and a class non-contact teacher. The school office is staffed by an administrative assistant and a clerical assistant.

All pupils have access to a very successful Breakfast Club which is well attended. A variety of sports clubs are available out-with the school day throughout the year.

Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is well supported by the Parent Partners and the wider parent forum. The Parent Partners work in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are supportive partnerships with local community groups.

This Admin Assistant role will have a clear focus on delivering high quality administrative support to Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of admin functions and will follow West Lothian Council policies and procedures in order to support the effective day to day running of the school, working closely in partnership with staff, parents and learners.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
