Pathways is a day service for adults with a Learning Disability located in Livingston. The service supports individuals to access a range of community and unit based meaningful, needs led activities meeting individual outcomes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the successful applicant to join our staff team on a full time basis as a key worker, to develop and deliver a stimulating individualised service and environment in line with West Lothian Council and Care Inspectorate guidance, policy & procedure, as well as National Strategies.

It will be essential for applicants to have had experience of working with Adults with a Learning Disability especially in care planning and hold a min of HNC Social Care & SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. The post will be 36 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

You must be able to demonstrate and ability to communicate with a wide variety of people both verbally, in writing and using alternative types of communication methods, as well as have the ability to remain calm when working under pressure. You must also be able to demonstrate good organisational skills. Experience of facilitating group work whilst being creative in meeting individual requirements, is pivotal to this role.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
