Residential Care Officer (Locum)
Salary: £25,623 - £30,563 (pro-rata for part time)
We are recruiting for additional Locums.
Please note that Locums, being zero hours, will not be eligible for the disruption payment, and they will have to claim for their weekend and night hours. Actual working time payment will differ depending on shift pattern.

You will work with potentially challenging young people to assist them to form personal attachments and develop resilience.
A Diploma/Degree in Social Work, HNC with SVQIII in Social Care or other equivalent qualification is essential for appointment at Grade 6. Consideration may be given to appointment of staff nearing the conclusion of their qualifying courses.
Applicants must be eligible and prepared to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Residential Child Care Worker.This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
The advertised salary will increase by 3% on 1st April 2020
