About the role

We are currently recruiting for Senior Associates into our Edinburgh or Glasgow office to work in our market leading, technology enabled Funds practice. A significant proportion of the UK’s funds audits are delivered by our Funds practice across our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

We work with a significant number of fund houses from large, global asset managers to small, boutique firms. This role provides an outstanding opportunity for individuals with experience in UK Funds audit or administration to join an established team and gain exposure to a high profile Funds client portfolio.

Essential skills and experience
  • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) fully qualified or part qualified ACA /ACCA (or equivalent) and working towards your full ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification or equivalent work experience in Audit

  • UK GAAP, the Statement of Recommended Practice for UK Authorised Funds and

  • Collective Investment Schemes sourcebook experience

  • Strong communication and project management skills to facilitate the third party relationship between client, administrator and PwC

  • IFRS, UK GAAP, and SOX experience

  • A flexible approach and passion for client service

  • A working knowledge of business development activity

  • A desire to further your career and personal development

You will have strong relationship building skills with both clients and other internal teams and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will also need a reasonable degree of flexibility to travel to meet the needs of our national client base.


Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above

  • Train and lead staff

  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
